I got a specific question about ClickOnce Deployment on .net. Here is the thing I got an windows application which powered .net framework 3.5 C#. The purpose for ClickOnce is auto update. We have a local network which is no internet access they have only access to server computer. I need to publish the application to the server computer which others should access through file share or something else. Most of the computers are have Windows XP.
Main question is how should I publish the application through ClikcOnce.
Please if you have some infomartion or example that can help me type it down.
If you are using Visual Studio, you can use the Publish section of the project properties to publish the application through ClickOnce. Then you can choose to publish it to a folder and assuming it will be a network share, you can specify it in the form
\\ShareServer\Folder\Subfolder

My question is how i can install (or include let's say) this service within my .exe setup.
I don't want the user to be responsible to install the service.

I develop a web application on Microsoft .Net 4 and Entity Framework 5. When I upload the project on my web farm it doesn't work. I believe that Entity Framework is not installed on my web farm. So I contacted my host to support this particular issue.
They said:
Send us a download and installation instructions, with any
requirements to install Entity Framework.
Except we utilize a link from directly within Visual Studio through Nuget.
How do you load the proper deployment information onto a server, since you can't directly deploy with Nuget since they don't have Visual Studio installed?

If possible please guide me or reference a place where I can solve this deployment issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your assistance.

What Is a ClickOnce Application?
A ClickOnce application is any Windows Presentation Foundation

How does a Windows Installer Deployment work?

This is about the deployment of a Windows Forms application. I have created a Windows Forms application, but I'm not sure if the users have installed .NET version 4. I have put my Windows Forms application at my website and the users will download it to their desktop.

You could try ClickOnce.
ClickOnce deployment allows you to publish Windows-based applications to a Web server or network file share for simplified installation.
You just need to define which prerequisites you want to include in bootstraper, as described here
You could define prerequisites in your Setup And Deployment Project.
You need to provide an installer and mark .NET as a prerequisite. See Stack Overflow question How to make an installer for my C# application? (.NET 3.5, but the idea is the same).
You could always download and include the .NET 4 redistributable. It about 40 MB so it may not be the most optimal solution, but it may be the easiest for the client.

One scenario where they would be different is when the users install from a web location. In that scenario you'd often have a publish folder which was a network share or path on the local computer while the installation folder was a web site URL
I am working on VS 2010 with .net 4 (OS: Windows XP). I want my application to have update feature. I have only one computer. How can i deploy the application it to test the update feature?
Currently i am publishing my application in a folder in my documents
I tried publishing to local FTP using XAMPP but it was unable to check for updates on FTP.
Now i have installed IIS to make a local HTTP server to deploy my application there but it asks for Front Page Server Extension then was asking Front Page.
All i need is that my application can update it self. Original requirement was patch update but i don't know how to do that. I think using ClickOnce is enough.
Create a network share on your local machine and publish to that; when you install the application, make sure to install it via the network share too.
