IsolatedStorageFileStream lead to assert failure - c#

I decided to use isolated storage for temporary files:

I taken this code from example that works on this computer. And minimal project with just this code also sucessfully runs.
But while performing IsolatedStorageFileStream constructor in my current project following message appears:
MyApp.exe - Assert Failure
Expression: [mscorlib recursive resource lookup bug]
Desctiprion: Infinite recurion during resource lookup within mscorlib.
This may be a bug in mscorlib, or potentially in certain extensibility

And in this message I can see pretty big stack trace (it starts with call of IsolatedStorageFileStream constructor):
Also I can't catch exception from this code.
Looks like error happened in System.Environment.ResourceHelper.GetResourceStringCode().
What can be a possible reason for this? I can't find anything on this topic.
Deleting C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\IsolatedStorage folder doesn't solve the problem (I know for sure that there is only my folders).

Looking at the stacktrace, the base issue comes from LongPathFile.GetLength. There could be some invalid characters in the path, or maybe a permission issue. Hard to tell without the exact error code.
Then, .NET tries to load the error message related to the error code, and at some point steps into Costura.AssemblyLoader (this must be your code or some library you're referencing). It looks like that AssemblyLoader subscribed to the AssemblyResolve event, and is doing a poor job fetching the correct assembly because it actually causes an infinite recursion.
In a nutshell: fix that assembly loader, then you'll be able to get the real error.

In my case exactly this happened on some of the machines when my code tried to create a new file in IsolatedStorage. As correctly mentioned in InfernumDeus's comment it happens only when the machine has non-English active locale set. Following code fixed the issue in my case:

Null Reference Exception when calling iText7 PdfAcroForm.GetAcroForm() in .Net Core 3.1 class library

I am working on converting an application to .Net Core 3.1, and in my class library I am generating a PDF form from an existing template, and filling that form with data. In ITextSharp, the predecessor to IText7, the PdfAcroForm static method ".GetAcroForm()" worked perfectly, but in the current version of iText7 (7.1.12) a Null Reference Exception is thrown. I have followed the documentation to the best of my ability, but I am unsure how to continue. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
NOTE: The template path exists, the new document shows that it has been filled properly, and it is impossible to "new" a PdfAcroForm, you are required to use the static .GetAcroForm() method.
A null check will not solve this issue, as the object should never be null. The documentation indicates that the .GetAcroForm() method will create a new form if the parameter "createNotExist" is set to true, which I have done here.

I had the same problem, and after digging down all the way to iText7's internal objects and methods, I finally "solved" my problem.
Apparently iText has some internal errors/exceptions that they are just sort of "skipping" and "pushing past", because I realized by accident that I had "Enable Just My Code" in Visual Studios disabled, and so my system was trying to debug iText7's code as well as mine. The moment that I re-enabled it in my Visual Studio settings (Tools > Options > Debugging > General > Enable Just My Code checkbox), the problem magically went away.
So I spent four hours trying to troubleshoot a problem that was in THEIR code, but that they apparently found some way to work around and push through the method anyways even on a null reference failure.
My convert to PDF function is now working just fine.
Just an update to anyone looking for this issue. This is a known issue and is fixed in the current development branch. You are safe to bypass the exception in visual studio until it is corrected. This has no negative impact on the functionality and is the result of a misplaced return in the original iText7 source.

IMAPI: COMException Internal file system error occurred [-1062555360 ]

I am writing CD/DVD using IMAPI with C#.NET windows application.
The data I write on CD contains one executable file (test.exe) which is also developed with C#.NET and virtualized (sandobx) using Turbo Virtualization Studio.
All data to be written on CD is placed in one folder (source path) on C drive.
Following is small code snippet: -

Call to "fileSystemImage.Root.AddFile" method while adding test.exe throws COMException -1062555360 "Internal file system error occurred." All other files add and write properly.

The error message returned by IMAPI is incorrect and that is why all confusion.

IMAPI supports the ISupportErrorInfo interface, and we are aware of
the issue of mismatching error messages in your scenario.
Internally, IMAPI creates rollback objects to undo add/remove file
actions. We've had an issue where the rollback action was created
prematurely, so after the return code for IFsiDirectoryItem::AddFile
was already set, the rollback action was to remove the file from the
image. Since the file hasn't been added, IMAPI_E_FSI_INTERNAL_ERROR
exception was thrown, which changed the IErrorInfo message to the one
you're seeing.
We are aware of this issue, and it will be fixed in the next release
of IMAPI. Unfortunately, it is not serious enough to be addressed in a
hotfix.

Getting MissingMethodException when using Manatee.trello to get list of users

I have the following code which is intended to fetch a list of all the user of an organisation.

But I'm getting a
System.MissingMethodException
thrown on
RestSharp.IRestRequest RestSharp.RestRequest.AddFile(System.String, Byte[], System.String)
So why is this exception thrown and what should the correctly working code look like?

I will also accept working C#/ASP.Net MVC code that isn't based on Manatee.Trello as an answer. (Including pure API-calls.)
I have tried using the Organisation ID directly as

but that just caused the same exception to be thrown later when I make a call to the method's returned object (e.g. using Count()).
UPDATE: I tried setting the build to Release instead of Debug and now the (same) exception is instead thrown at
TrelloConfiguration.RestClientProvider = new RestSharpClientProvider();
This is an issue with RestSharp that I reported quite some time ago, though they deny that it's a problem. If you're using .Net 4.5+, you can try the Manatee.Trello.WebApi package instead of Manatee.Trello.RestSharp.

I have been able to recreate this as well, but have received no help from them to resolve it.
Apperently, the class with missing method is located in an assembly, which differ from the one, which you used while compiling the project. Double check and make sure both at compiling and at execution you use the same assembly with the aforementioned class.
That is my best clue based on the info you've provided.
basically, check project references and make sure, you use correct ones for the class-holding assembly.

C# run piece of code under different credential

Referring to THIS QUESTION I was able to execute some code as different user.
Now I'm trying to execute a piece of code as a user with administrator privileges and I get a missing file error. The code is this:

The error is thrown at last reported line, the one starting with IEnumerable<XAApplication> and is:

I don't report code for Impersonator class, the basic schema is reported on linked question (and it worked also in other applications).
Am I missing something?
Looks like there is no problem with impersonating but your code somehow tries to load the assembly System.Management.Automation.dll which is not in GAC , can you try registering this assembly in GAC and try it out again .

DotNetCharting exception thrown

I am using DotNetCharting version 4.2. I am trying to create a chart, save it to disk and return the path as a string. Here is a simplified version of my code thus far.

I got this from this dotnetCharting support page. It is very straightforward code.
Here is the problem: The code above actually DOES create an image in the appropriate directory. This is NOT a directory permissions issue. When I add my actual data to the aChart, it actually DOES add it and an image is created. However, the SaveImage() method always throws an exception of "Failed to map the path '/'." The SaveImage() method is supposed to return a String, however, it always returns "" and the exception is thrown.
More Info: I am doing this in a WCF Service. Is it possible that since it's in a service the dotNetCharting DLL is having trouble with some internal MapPath?
I just upgraded the DotNetCharting to the latest version (7.0) and now it works fine. I believe that it was an issue with the old version of the DLL. I'll leave this here in case anyone else has this issue.
