An error is occurring when a client I'm using calls to Web Api. The problem is the stack trace I'm getting back is a bit unreadable, there are no line numbers so I am not sure where to look. This is it being returned as a Json response.

Is there a way I can config web api to return the line number where the error occurred so I can debug the issue more appropriately?

I'm currently usng .Net 4.5 yet the errors still get outputted this way.
I am use an extension that stores stack trace information inside exceptions, for example, original code:

All projects in the solution are build under framework 4.8
All have Any Cpu as Platform Target.
Not as 32-bit prefer option active.
I have x64 arquitecture selected for tests.
There is no testFile settings in use.
I try rebuild, clean rebuild, resinstall VS, nothing work. I can't find out what this error is.
I had a similar issue workaround try this command in the in run window "devenv /ResetSettings", It worked for me.
Microsoft recognized the problem and roll out a fix in version VS 2019 16.5.2.

I had this issue in Visual Studio Enterprise 2019 Version 16.5.4, but restarting VS fixed it.
Faced this issue in following version. Clean and Rebuild Solution worked for me.

Fixed by closing and opening VS.
Everything worked (VS2019) and suddenly started failing with a similar (did not compare word to word) callstack.
Rebuilding did not help, neither did manually killing hung processes from test console.
After re-opening VS - everything back to normal

You can ignore these exceptions.
The exception says what the problem is: "The client disconnected". It means that the client initiated a request but then disconnected before it bothered to read all of the response.
There are any numbers of reasons why that might be the case, but (unless you have a dodgy internet connection at your server end) it is almost certainly an issue at the client end. I regularly see these myself and mostly it seems to be related to a bot. So I filter them out and ignore them.

Fixed the problem. My Task id included the executable name, which had "." in it. Replaced the "." with a "-" and it worked.
I have uploaded my WebAPI site to a staging server and when the application attempts to send an email via MvcMailer I receive an SmtpException, but the email does get sent, exactly as required to the correct recipient!
Very odd behaviour. Surely the email shouldn't send when a send exception is produced?
It is a new windows server 2012 build too and this is the first site, so it could be something else I've forgotten to do.
Anyone got any ideas what could be causing this behaviour?
