I'm working on a WPF project, for desktop screen capture, and it opens .pptx files. But when I'm about to click on PP13 to open one presentation it automatically extends display to show two views: pc display in presentation helper mode and the other one with the full slides.
I know I can disable it through File>Options>Advanced>Display but I'd like to do it with C#. I can't find any way so I hope someone knows if it can be done and has some sort of solution. Is it possible?
Thanks in advance!

I developed (C# WinForm) a very simple ribbon bar menu similar to the one used in Office 2016.
The part I do not know how to get start with is the "File" menu. If you are familiar with Office 2016 you know that when you click on "File" you get a page in which you have a menu on the left side, a column with "places" where to search for files, and the list of MRU files.
I like this page but I do not know how to implement it. I was planning to show a panel that overlaps to the app (maybe adding a fade-in/out effect) but it sounds more like "the poor developer" solution. I would appreciate any piece of info/idea/reference that can help me to understand how to show that "page"...then I can figure out how to populate info on it.
Thank you!

I have a requirement where I have to code Powerpoint to access data from sql server and display in tabular and graphical manner. Instead of doing it in VBA (as i'm weak in VBA) I would prefer to go with WPF Window application in C#.
My question is, Is that possible to create Powerpoint presentation like slide show in WPF where on every slide there will be graph and datagrid and marquee text show updated data from database. Any suggestion or links highly appreciated.
So far What I've found:
1) If I make my windowstyle to none and state to maximized. it will appear in full screen window.
this.WindowStyle = WindowStyle.None;
this.WindowState = System.Windows.WindowState.Maximized;
2) and on Each window by using dockpanel I can arrange controls like datagrid on leftside and graph on right side and in bottom marquee text.
3) Using timer switching between each windows.
with these I might be able to achieve what I'm looking for but is there any better solution for this?
I found a really useful library that you can use for this purpose. It features many different transitions, just like PowerPoint and is really easy to use. It is called 'Transitionals' and you can download it from the CodePlex website:
Transitionals
UPDATE >>>
This Transitionals library is now on version 1.2, but you can download the help file for version 1.0 by clicking on the 'TransitionalsHelp_1_0.zip' link on this page on CodePlex.
I'm using blend 4 and vs 2010 to develop a port of an app from iPad to Windows Desktop.
I have a pathlistbox with PathListBoxScrollBehavior attached like in the carousel tutorial showed by Microsoft in the presentation of PathListBoxUtils.
My path is a open path (a line) and I don't want a infinite carousel but a path list box that go through the items but stops when comes in the last or first item. Am I being clear?
Something similar to what exist is on ios (similar to the cover flow effect too)

I know there are ways to do that but I can't find it.
There are a check box called WrapItems. When unchecked your Path List Box won't spin infinitely.
There are some bugs to solve yet but are specific to my project.
Hope this solution helps you too.
I'm working on a tool that generates output that I'd like the user to be able to conveniently send to Skype or other running applications rather than simply saving it if required.
Back when I used Acorn's RiscPC, the recommended style of the 'Save As' feature was a small dialog with an icon that represented the file, that you could drag to a folder to save, or drag to another application to send it to that app rather than saving it.
Right now, users need to save the file, then find the file in Windows Explorer and drag it to Skype from there. Sure I could easily add a 'Show in folder' icon, but it would be much neater to simply drag it straight to Skype.
Anyone know how to do this, or if it's been done before I can have a look at?
I should emphasize, I'm not specifically talking about dragging stuff to Skype, I could look at the Skype API for that, I'm talking about simulating a drag generally, as if it were a file dragged from explorer.
If you're using WinForms, here is a CodeProject article that shows you bi-directional drag and drop to and from Explorer/your application. Look here for WPF.
Hope this helps!
im kind of confused, i used codes that enable you to drag and drop desktop icons/files/folders on windows forms, but how to show it inside the windows forms and the icon is still executable?
Most of the time GridControl is used to display the files.Its easy to display information about files in that way.But the best way to shows files depends on what do you want to do with the files.If you elaborate your problem then we can suggest.
