extract password protected sfx archive using c# - c#

I have WinRAR SFX file. I know that I can extract archive using following code:
Process process = new Process();
process.StartInfo.FileName = "unrar.exe";
process.StartInfo.Arguments = "x file.rar d:\myFolder";
process.Start();
process.WaitForExit();
But how can I extract SFX file when it have known password?

Assuming your password is mypassword, you need to change your arguments line to this:
process.StartInfo.Arguments = #"x -pmypassword file.rar d:\myFolder";
Note that you shouldn't put a space after the -p before your password - or it'll prompt you.
I also added a # to mark the string as a literal, otherwise it'll try to treat the \m in the file name as an escape character.

you can use -p as parameter
Assuming your password is 123456
Process process = new Process();
process.StartInfo.FileName = "unrar.exe";
process.StartInfo.Arguments = "x -p123456 file.rar d:\myFolder";

Just I want to execute the Jar file from C sharp code and get return values from jar. Is it possible?

here simple.jar has main method which will take the arguements and prints the passed arguemnets in console, otherwise it prints no arguements in console.
I tried above code in this line(String s = process.StandardOutput.ReadToEnd();) able to read the console values.
But I want to execute a method by passing values in jar and method will return me hashmap (collection) values(I don't know it is possible or not).
Please give me suggestions on this.
To execute a jar file in the command line use java.exe -jar <jar_name>.

Execute a Batch File From C#

I have a small problem. Okay let's say from my C# console application I want to run a batch file that will take an argument. The string variable at the stop of my C# application will be the string argument to pass to the batch file. How would I go about doing it?
Here is my code so far my C# console program:

But nothing happened.Actually main.py is my main program and it takes 2 arguments. one is input xml file and another one is converted output xml file.
But i dont know how to run this python script from C# through command prompt. Please Guide me to get out of this issue...

I think you are mistaken in executing cmd.exe. I'd say you should be executing python.exe, or perhaps executing main.py with UseShellExecute set to true.
At the moment, your code blocks at p.WaitForExit() because cmd.exe is waiting for your input. You would need to type exit to make cmd.exe terminate. You could add this to your code:
p.StandardInput.WriteLine(#"exit");
But I would just cut out cmd.exe altogether and call python.exe directly. So far as I can see, cmd.exe is just adding extra complexity for absolutely no benefit.
I think you need something along these lines:

Also the Python script appears to output to a file rather than to stdout. So when you do p.StandardOutput.ReadToEnd() there will be nothing there.
Why not host IronPython in your app and then execute the script?

I'm getting a RPC Unavailable message.
But when I access the command line in the program folder, then i run this: (with the correct parameters), exactly like I specified in the filename/arguments...

It works!
Do I have to specify anything else in the C# Process ? What could be possibly happening?

EDIT: It works if I put cmd as the FileName and /c PsExec.exe before the arguments. The problem is this way it always show the window.

You cannot redirect standard output using the arguments the way you are doing. That's not how things actually work.
At the command line, your arguments end when the command interpreter sees the >, and it begins the process of redirecting standard output to the filename.
To accomplish this in C# you need to use the RedirectStandardOutput property of the StartInfo class, then read from the Process.StandardOutput stream and write to a file.
The MSDN documentation for RedirectStandardOutput has a short example you can use to get started.

C#.Net: Why is my Process.Start() hanging?

I'm trying to run a batch file, as another user, from my web app. For some reason, the batch file hangs! I can see "cmd.exe" running in the task manager, but it just sits there forever, unable to be killed, and the batch file is not running. Here's my code:

If you didn't guess, this batch file builds my application (a different application than the one that is executing this command).
The Process.Start(psi); line returns immediately, as it should, but the batch file just seems to hang, without executing. Any ideas?

The output.txt never gets created.
I added these lines:
psi.RedirectStandardOutput = true;
Process p = Process.Start(psi);
String outp = p.StandardOutput.ReadLine();
and stepped through them in debug mode. The code hangs on the ReadLine(). I'm stumped!
I believe I've found the answer. It seems that Microsoft, in all their infinite wisdom, has blocked batch files from being executed by IIS in Windows Server 2003. Brenden Tompkins has a work-around here:

That won't work for me, because my batch file uses IF and GOTO, but it would definitely work for simple batch files.
Why not just do all the work in C# instead of using batch files?

Without seeing the build.cmd it's hard to tell what is going on, however, you should build the path using Path.Combine(arg1, arg2); It's the correct way to build a path.

I don't remember now but don't you have to set UseShellExecute = true ?
Another possibility to "debug" it is to use standardoutput and then read from it:

In order to "see" what's going on, I'd suggest you transform the process into something more interactive (turn off Echo off) and put some "prints" to see if anything is actually happening. What is in the output.txt file after you run this?
Does the bmail actually executes?
Put some prints after/before to see what's going on.
Also add "#" to the arguments, just in case:
psi.Arguments = #"/q /c build.cmd";
It has to be something very simple :)
My guess would be that the build.cmd is waiting for some sort of user-interaction/reply. If you log the output of the command with the "> logfile.txt" operator at the end, it might help you find the problem.

As you can see, I'm careful not to output anything. It all goes to a file that gets emailed to me if the build happens to fail. I've actually been running this file as a scheduled task nightly for quite a while now. I'm trying to build a web app that allows me to run it on demand.

I think cmd.exe hangs if the parameters are incorrect.
If the batch executes correctly then I would just shell execute it like this instead.
