Upload working local client but not on web server - c#

I am using the YouTube API to upload videos from my ASP.net web application to YouTube.
I have used this example:
https://developers.google.com/youtube/v3/code_samples/dotnet#upload_a_video
I have got this working on my Loacl PC where I can upload a video. To get this working I obtained a "Client ID for native application" from the Google Developer Console and downloaded the required json.
However I have now uploaded my website to a live server and wish to get it working.
I have now generated a "Client ID for web application" and replaced the json file that I was using.
Is this all I have to do?? Because I have tried this and my file is not appearing on YouTube.
Here are the IDs that I have generated.
I have simply used the web application JSON instead of the native one.

Docusign REST API to get document in envelope

I am creating a MVC web application with Docusign REST API.
I am going to create actionlink in index view for each record witch downloads
document in the record's envelope.
I am planning to use call following HTTP request.
GET /v2/accounts/{accountId}/envelopes/{envelopeId}/documents/{documentId}
When I call this request, I get pop up where I can choose location and name of file for the document that I am downloading.
Is there any way for me to pass folder location and name of file as parameter and download the file without getting this pop up?
I don't think Docusign does not provide such API to download in this way.
Thank you in advance.
A Web Server can not access the client's computer. Imagine if Google (or any other site) could just start programs on your machine when you visit their site! So popup has nothing to do with DocuSign.
So using DS API, you will get pdf as byte[], once you got byte[] then its your code who has to write it to a File and that is not possible on a WEBServer as WebServer will not be able to access the CLient's computer to directly save them on the machine without showing that popup. If you run below code in Standalone Java Application or I think Java Applets can also do it, then you can use FileOutputStream to write byte[] into a file directly in the machine.

Trying to use a xamarin app to create a user login for a website

I have a cross platform app currently designed using xamarin forms but now need to use this to create a user profile for the user, using the information provided, for a website.
Are there any add ons or plugins for something like square space or wordpress which would allow me to upload a user program via a RESTful api or something along those lines?
Basically what are my options to transfer user data from a cross platform app to a web app so that my user can then log onto the web app and see all their information?
All you need is a database that can be accessed by both your web app and your mobile app. There are numerous services that would allow you to do this.
But if your web site is going to be a WordPress site (I have never looked into squarespace) then it already uses a MySql back end for data storage. I would imagine squarespace uses a database of some sort as well. You could then create RESTFul urls on that same server to send and request data and use whatever database system that your website is using. If you don't want to implement your own service code for sending and receiveing data that can be used by both your web app and your mobile app, then you could use some service like Azure, AWS, Apigee, etc. just for the database.

How to upload files with AJAX and a C# Webservice?

I'm building a small web video player app for a school project. I'm using a C# Web Service, and an SQL server. My idea was to upload a video, then save its location and name at an SQL table and update the client accordingly.
I know that files can be uploaded through AJAX by sending formdata with XHR, but how do I actually receive them in the web service and save them in a designated path?
in case you'd like to implement a wcf service i think this article fits your needs

Running Web Application Locally (Offline) & without IIS

I'm trying to understand if there is a way to make a web application run on the local computer(browser) without IIS.
My main objective is to transform my web application (that is on the internet) to a software that runs on the local computer without using the internet and without IIS.
My idea is to distributed my webapp between my colleagues and not forcing them to work online and not needing an internet connection.
I have a MVC web app with 3 pages and a couple of methods on the server side.
The idea of the application is to get proprieties from a form that I implemented on one of the pages of my web application and transform the proprieties on the client side to JSON and send it to the server, the server will generate XML file according to the JSON object and let the client download the XML file that were generated.
The flow of it:
1.The Client fill the form in my site.
2.The form become JSON object on the client side.
3.The JSON object that stored the properties of the form(filled by the client) is send to the server.
4.The server get the JSON object and generated XML document from it.
5.The client download the generated XML file.
Very simple web application.
I know that I can run HTML page by clicking it and the page will display on the browser but I need the server side to be working too to carry out actions.
So my question is : How can I make my web application run without internet ?
With the constrains:
No IIS required.
Working with .NET 4.0. (OWIN 2.0 - Not good)
No internet require.
No installation required to the computer ill pass this web app.
The server side code wont be expose when I send this application to my friends.
I read a couple of articles about OWIN, SingalR, Cassini and WCF but its all very vague...
If someone could provide me with a guide lines it will be very helpful.
Thanks a lot.
You can definitely self host a .NET web application using OWIN. Unfortunately documentation and information about it is vague and confusing at best. The fact that you're using MVC makes it somewhat easier as you may be able to directly use the self-host packages from Nuget for self hosting Web API. There may be similar packages for MVC.
I don't have recent experience but a Nuget search for "MVC Self Host" should yield some results.
Below is a link with an example. But the term you are looking for is definitely "self host". It can be done via a console window or (more complex) a windows service. It will likely use some form of OWIN but you can probably find some startup code to copy and paste into your project, usually in the form of a Startup.cs file.

Accessing OneDrive from Azure Mobile Service

I'm developing a mobile app to share some content between users and I'm facing a weird problem.
Currently, what the app does is to allow the users to download some files from the web and store them on their OneDrive account.
The problem is that I need to download the file from the web first, and then upload it to OneDrive, and this means that I'm wasting double bandwidth for each file (OneDrive does not allow to upload a remote file).
The other required feature is to upload a file from OneDrive to my Azure storage, so, basically, I need my Azure service to work with both upload/download from/to OneDrive.
I can't find anything useful online, but I think I got a solution for the OneDrive-to-Azure scenario:
Get the file ID using the LiveSDK on my phone
Build a download link for the given file
Send the link to the Azure Mobile Service
Download the file in the Azure Storage
I've not tried it yet because I still got no access to Azure (I need to register for the trial), but I'm not sure that this may work, and even if it does I still need to figure out how to make the Azure-to-OneDrive stuff.
Do you guys have any clues?
This thing is really driving me insane :\
