Recover current value in checkBox during gridView Editing - WebForm C#

I have a simple checkBox in Editable gridView :

When I click on edit button in the row, I would like that checkBox is already checked if value is true. (IsEditable is a boolean)
Text Field is easy because I have a BindItem on Text property in EditItemTemplate. But it's not the same for checkBox or dropdownlist
GridView
I use a UpdateItem Method to update my data in database. I tried a small condition to check my checkBox but it does'nt work.

Where can I do this?
(And I have the same problem with datas on dropdownList. I don't know where I recover current value during editing)

use the following code instead for checkbox declaration in edit template
<asp:CheckBox ID="CheckBox1" runat="server" Checked='<%# Convert.ToBoolean("true") %>' />

CheckBox chbx = GridView1.HeaderRow.FindControl("CheckBoxEditable") as CheckBox;
if (chbx != null && chbx.Checked)

Note: Don't forget to add OnRowDataBound in GrindView <asp:GridView ID="GridView1" runat="server" OnRowDataBound="GridView1_RowDataBound" >

I added the property Checked=<%# BindItem.IsEditable %> on CheckBox Control and it works perfectly.

How to make gridview column visible true or false dynamically?

Here is the simple answer. Create css as below
.classHide{ display:none }
then instead of column.visible = false, just assign classHide CSS class to the column.
e.g.
grdRole.Columns(0).ItemStyle.CssClass = "classHide"
grdRole.Columns(0).HeaderStyle.CssClass = "classHide"

*strong text*Try to make use of the event ItemDataBound event and try the following syntax to hide the column dynamically:
mygrid.Columns[1].Visible = false //(Example)
Column count for a datatable starts from 0 not from 1 . so if it is the second column , you want to hide, index should be 1.

right Click on gridview and select Properties then select Events you will find there RowDataBound Double Click on it and in Row data bound write this

Adding Querystring Parameter to GridView ItemTemplate

I have a gridview with a hyperlink in first column. Upon clicking the hyperlink, the user is redirected to Vendor.aspx. Now, I need to pass the consumer id (of the clicked row) as a query string to the Vendor.aspx.
What is the best method to achieve it? Is there a way in which we can handle it using markup code only?

Try using the DataNavigateUrlFormatString
<ItemTemplate>

</ItemTemplate>
... it will spare you Eval() and the problem with single/double quotes when putting it inside your href.
You can substitute the DataTextField if you like - I just put the ConsumerID there to be consistent with your example.

Rewrite your hyperlink in gridview in .aspx file like this:
<asp:HyperLink ID="lnkConsumerID" runat="server" Text='<%# Eval("ConsumerID")%>' />
Then in code-behind create a RowDataBound event handler:

control image visibility in repeater based on session variable

I'm having trouble figuring out how to control the visibility of an image in a gridview based on a session variable.
<asp:Image runat="server" ID="imgImportedData" Width="20px" Height="20px" ImageUrl="~/images/warning.png" CausesValidation="false" />
I tried using Visible='<%# mySessionVariable %>' but I got a message saying mySessionVariable was unavailable. I think this is because it's in a grid because I am using this variable in the code behind for another part of the page outside of the gridview without any problems.
EDIT: I just realized this in a Repeater control and not a GridView.
I tried both of these and still get The name 'MySession' does not exist in the current context
Visible='<%# (bool)MySession.IsImportedData == "true" ? true : false %>'
Visible='<%# MySession.IsImportedData == "true" ? true : false %>'

<%# is a DataBinding ASP server tag. What happens when you change <%# to <%=?
If that doesn't work, I would suggest setting the column's visibility in a RowDataBound event, like so:

Parent-Child Gridview in ASP.net

I have two GridView in ASP.net 3.5 page. I have HyperLink field as one of the fields in the First GridView.
On click of this hyperlink I need to call display the 2nd grid by passing some values to a method showAllRecords(value from hyperlink)
How do I do this?

You can try a TemplateField like this for GridView1 (primary GridView)

and in GridView1's RowCommand, you can get the CommandArgument and setup the DataSource for GridView2 (child GridView).

First you need to handle SelectedIndexChanged event on the first grid and then get the value from the hyperlink. Is the hyperlink a DataKey? If it is then you get it by GridOne.SelectedDataKey.Values["key"] otherwise get the actual cell by valuefromGridOne = GridOne.SelectedRow.Cells[num].Text where number is the cell number. Once you have it you can pass the value to your second grid by handling Selecting event of the objectDataSource (assuming you use it to bind data) and passing the value like this e.InputParameters["dataKey"] = valuefromGridOne;
