I want to demarcate the values of a given cell in a gridview into three without using "|" but a vertical line the length of the column in the gridview.
for (int i = 0; i < subjectCount; i++)
{
TableCell totals = new TableHeaderCell();
totals.ColumnSpan = grid.Columns.Count - 1;
totals.BackColor = System.Drawing.SystemColors.ControlDark;// System.Drawing.Color.FromArgb(#c0c0c0);
totals.ForeColor = System.Drawing.Color.White;
totals.Font.Size = FontUnit.Medium;
totals.Font.Bold = true;
//totals.Text = "40|60%|100%"; would love to display and image in between them like 40-vertical image-60-vertical image-100
totals.Text = "40 | 60 | 100";
row.Cells.Add(totals);
t.Rows.AddAt(1, row);
}

I have table layout panel. Inside each one I create a Panel to insert two different controls in each cell.
I want to fill TableLayoutPanel with all my data, in this case I have 16 should have 16 different cells. So I try:
private void AddRow(IList<DeliveryBreakdownGetViewModel> rModel)
{
tpnlDeliveryBreakdown.RowCount = rModel.Count / 4; //rModel count = 16
tpnlDeliveryBreakdown.ColumnCount = 4;
var row = 0;
var column = 0;
var fullRow = 1;
for (int i = 0; i < rModel.Count; i++)
{
var panel = new Panel();
Labels.Add(rModel[i].DesignGroupName);
var label = new Label
{
AutoSize = true,
Name = "label" + Labels.Count,
Text = rModel[i].DesignGroupName,
Location = new Point(12, YPos)
};
this.Controls.Add(label);
tpnlDeliveryBreakdown.Controls.Add(panel, column, row);
panel.Controls.Add(label);
DeliveryBreakdownLabelsModel.Add(label);
var numericUpDown = new NumericUpDown
{
Name = "numericUpDown" + Labels.Count,
Maximum = decimal.MaxValue,
Minimum = decimal.MinValue,
Value = Decimal.Round(rModel[i].ContractedAmount, 2),
Location = new Point(12, YPos),
Size = new Size(60, 19),
DecimalPlaces = 2,
Tag = rModel[i].DesignGroupId
};
this.Controls.Add(numericUpDown);
panel.Controls.Add(numericUpDown);
DeliveryBreakdownNumericUpDownModel.Add(numericUpDown);
if (fullRow % 4 == 0)
{
row++;
}
fullRow++;
if(column == 4)
{
column = 0;
}
else
{
column++;
}
}
}
But it only show 2 columns and 7 cells:
Why is not showing all cells and it only show 2 columns instead 4. Regards
I'm using itextSharp to export a DataTable to a pdf table. I can export the data to a pdf table using the sample code i have posted below. The DataTable contains close to 21 columns.
The first column in the pdf (DataTable) might contain similar values for any number of rows. If the data values in first column for a group of rows is similar, i want to merge the first 3 columns of those rows as one cell.
I'm having trouble modifying the code below to achieve this.
public iTextSharp.text.Table GetItextTable(DataTable dtChartData, string reportType)
{
int intCols = dtChartData.Columns.Count; //Total number of columns
int intRows = dtChartData.Rows.Count; //Total number of rows
iTextSharp.text.Table pdfTable = new iTextSharp.text.Table(intCols, intRows);
try
{
pdfTable.BorderWidth = 1;
pdfTable.Width = 100;
pdfTable.Padding = 1;
pdfTable.Spacing = 1;
/*creating table headers */
for (int i = 0; i < intCols; i++)
{
iTextSharp.text.Cell cellCols = new iTextSharp.text.Cell();
iTextSharp.text.Font ColFont = iTextSharp.text.FontFactory.GetFont("Tahoma", 07,
iTextSharp.text.Font.BOLD);
for (int l = 0; l < dtChartData.Columns.Count; l++)
{
if (dtChartData.Columns[l].ColumnName.Contains("_"))
{
dtChartData.Columns[l].ColumnName = dtChartData.Columns[l].ColumnName.Replace("_", " ");
}
}
iTextSharp.text.Chunk chunkCols = new iTextSharp.text.Chunk(dtChartData.Columns[i].ColumnName,ColFont);
cellCols.HorizontalAlignment = iTextSharp.text.Element.ALIGN_CENTER;
if ((chunkCols.ToString().ToLower() == "ReportDetails"))
{
cellCols.HorizontalAlignment = iTextSharp.text.Element.ALIGN_CENTER;
}
}
/* loop that take values from every row in datatable and insert in itextsharp table */
for (int k = 0; k < intRows; k++)
{
for (int j = 0; j < intCols; j++)
{
iTextSharp.text.Cell cellRows = new iTextSharp.text.Cell();
iTextSharp.text.Font RowFont = iTextSharp.text.FontFactory.GetFont("Tahoma", 07);
iTextSharp.text.Chunk chunkRows = new iTextSharp.text.Chunk(dtChartData.Rows[k][j].ToString(),RowFont);
cellRows.HorizontalAlignment = iTextSharp.text.Element.ALIGN_CENTER;
cellRows.Add(chunkRows);
pdfTable.AddCell(cellRows);
}
}
}
catch (Exception ex)
{
//error handling code here removed
}
return pdfTable;
}
Have you tried to change the Colspan?
iTextSharp.text.Cell cell = new iTextSharp.text.Cell();
cell.AddElement(new Paragraph("colspan 3"));
cell.Colspan = 3;
table.AddCell(cell);
In this case, cell will span three columns.
try this. i just edited your code, not checked
here i have edited 1 line of your code and added a new line (total 2 lines of change only).
dont forget to combine headding row like this, if you need
/* loop that take values from every row in datatable and insert in itextsharp table */
for (int k = 0; k < intRows; k++)
{
for (int j = 2; j < intCols; j++)// EDIT: if all first 3 cols are same, then starts with 2
{
iTextSharp.text.Cell cellRows = new iTextSharp.text.Cell();
if(j == 2) cellRows.Colspan = 3;// ADD: it'll gives a 3 times long cell
iTextSharp.text.Font RowFont = iTextSharp.text.FontFactory.GetFont("Tahoma", 07);
iTextSharp.text.Chunk chunkRows = new iTextSharp.text.Chunk(dtChartData.Rows[k][j].ToString(),RowFont);
cellRows.HorizontalAlignment = iTextSharp.text.Element.ALIGN_CENTER;
cellRows.Add(chunkRows);
pdfTable.AddCell(cellRows);
}
}
I want to dynamically create a excel-like table with datagridview, but I want to have the option to set colspan to some columns.
The idea is just to display data, the user will not type anything, but it should be in table/spreadsheet look. If I cannot have datagridview with colspan is there any other type of table-like tool which has a colspan?
I other hand the columns will be created dynamically from database query result.
I'm using windows forms.
Any ideas?
You might take a look at the TableLayoutPanel Class, which has a TableLayoutPanel.SetColumnSpan Method.
Here's a code sample, which spans the one of the text boxes on 2 columns:
var dt = new DataTable();
dt.Columns.Add("Id");
dt.Columns.Add("Value1");
dt.Columns.Add("Value2");
dt.Rows.Add(1, "aa", "xx");
dt.Rows.Add(2, "bb","yy");
dt.Rows.Add(3, "cc", "zz");
tableLayoutPanel1.CellBorderStyle = TableLayoutPanelCellBorderStyle.Single;
tableLayoutPanel1.ColumnCount = 4;
tableLayoutPanel1.AutoSize = true;
for (int i = 0; i < dt.Columns.Count; i++)
{
var l = new Label();
l.Dock = DockStyle.Fill;
l.Text = dt.Columns[i].ColumnName;
tableLayoutPanel1.Controls.Add(l, i, 0);
}
var emptyLabel = new Label();
emptyLabel.Text = "Empty label";
tableLayoutPanel1.Controls.Add(emptyLabel, 4, 0);
for (int i = 0; i < dt.Rows.Count; i++)
{
for (int j = 0; j < dt.Rows[i].ItemArray.Length; j++)
{
var tb = new TextBox();
tb.Multiline = true;
tb.Dock = DockStyle.Fill;
tb.Text = dt.Rows[i][j].ToString();
tableLayoutPanel1.Controls.Add(tb, j, i+1);
if (i == 1 && j == 2)
tableLayoutPanel1.SetColumnSpan(tb, 2);
}
}
I am working on a windows form app which primarily consists of a TableLayoutPanel with 8 columns and 9 rows. I have been able to fill each of the cells like so:
for (int row = 0; row < TableLayoutPanel.RowCount; row++) {
for (int column = 0; column < TableLayoutPanel.ColumnCount; column++) {
PictureBox pictureBox = new PictureBox();
pictureBox.BackColor = Color.Blue;
TableLayoutPanel.Controls.Add(pictureBox, column, row);
pictureBox.Dock = DockStyle.Fill;
pictureBox.Margin = new Padding(1);
}
However this method starts from the top than goes left to right downwards like:
1 2 3
4 5 6
My aim is to fill the TableLayoutPanel like:
6 5 4
1 2 3
I don't know if this is possible but is there a way to do fill the TableLayoutPanel cells in this fashion?
Don't worry guys I figured out how to do it. What I did was that I started from the bottom row of the TableLayoutPanel (in my case was row = 8) and worked up from there. I than determined if the row values were odd or even in which case I would change the direction. Here is the solution.
for (int row = TableLayoutPanel.RowCount-1; row >= 0; row--) {
if (row % 2 == 0) { //if even
for (int column = 0; column < TableLayoutPanel.ColumnCount; column++) {
PictureBox pictureBox = new PictureBox();
pictureBox.BackColor = Color.Blue;
TableLayoutPanel.Controls.Add(pictureBox, column, row);
pictureBox.Dock = DockStyle.Fill;
pictureBox.Margin = new Padding(1);
} else {
for (int column = TableLayoutPanel.ColumnCount-1; column >= 0; column--) {
PictureBox pictureBox = new PictureBox();
pictureBox.BackColor = Color.Blue;
TableLayoutPanel.Controls.Add(pictureBox, column, row);
pictureBox.Dock = DockStyle.Fill;
pictureBox.Margin = new Padding(1);
}
}
Try to replace your for loops with:
for (int row = TableLayoutPanel.RowCount - 1, c0 = 0, c1 = TableLayoutPanel.ColumnCount - 1, cs = 1; row >= 0 ; row--, c0 ^= c1, c1 ^= c0, c0 ^= c1, cs *= -1)
{
for (int column = c0; column != c1 + cs; column += cs)
{
...
I'm working with ASP.NET an C# I have a dynamic table and I want a cell to have an initial value then I want to use this value as a parameter in a method and fill the same cell with another value....
here is snippet of my code
for (int index = 0; index < size; index++) {
List<Hotel> h = listHotelList[index];
Hotel myHotel = new Hotel();
mytable = new Table();
mytable.ID = "HotelTable"+index;
Page.Form.Controls.Add(mytable);
mytable.CellSpacing = 20;
mytable.CellPadding = 10;
for (int g = 0; g < h.Count; g++)
{
myHotel = h[g];
TableRow row = new TableRow();
for (int i = 0; i < 2; i++)
{
TableCell cell = new TableCell();
if (i == 0)
{
// I want to leave this with only the value of the hotelId
// and I want my method to fill this cell with an image by retrieving
// the value of the hotelId
}
if (i == 1)
{
Label tb = new Label();
tb.ID = "label1_" + g + "Col" + i;
tb.Text = "<h4>" + myHotel.hotelName + "</h4><br />";
cell.Controls.Add(tb);
}
row.Cells.Add(cell);
}
mytable.Rows.Add(row);
}
}
for my case I'm taking a hotel Id from the cell when the user click a button then it trigger a method that would take the value in the cell "hotel Id" and retrieve the image for this particular hotel and fill the cell with the image
Is the problem that you don't see the tabel?
If so,
add the table to your page
Page.Controls.Add(mytable);
If the positioning is not good, then put a placeholder on your page, and add the control there.
Placeholder.Controls.Add(mytable);
