C#/J# Find function by name / Manual control click - c#

I have a control which is a button and I want to manually click it. (When the user presses a button)
I have the control but I don't know how to get it's function. (The format of the click function is [Control.Name]_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) as usual
Does anyone know how to do this?

If you have the button, instead of trying to find the method, I would recommend just calling Button.PerformClick instead. This will trigger all of the event handlers on the button's Click event, no matter what name they've been assigned.

Windows Forms event for any action performed on the form?

Is there a "generic" event for a Windows Form that will trigger any time the user clicks anything on a form? I need to make sure that a certain text box has input focus at all times, so if the user clicks on a button (or anything else, for that matter), the input focus needs to be redirected to this text box.
Is there an event in the Form class that will handle this, or do I have to handle a Click event to all controls recursively on the form?
I did some digging but I can't find what I want so far.
I actually figured something out - every time the TextBox loses focus, just refocus it.
textBox.LostFocus += TextBox_LostFocus;
private void TextBox_LostFocus(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
textBox.Focus();
}

C# DotNetBar switchButton not working

So, I would double click here on my designer
and it should create me the code, but well it doesn't. And there is no value changed event in the events either.
So if anyone knows how to fix this, it would be nice. (I doubt it) so how would I get around this? How would I go on about creating the code myself that should be created when I double click on it?
Click the form or control that you want to create an event handler for.
In the Properties window(F4), click the Events button
In the list of available events, click the event that you want to create an event handler for.
In the box to the right of the event name, type the name of the handler and press ENTER.
Add the appropriate code to the event handler.
To create an event handler in the code editor
Switch to the code editor by using one of the following techniques:
Create a new method like:
private void buttonName_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) { ... }
In the file YourFormName.Designer.cs find your button and add
this.buttonName.Click += new System.EventHandler(this.buttonName_Click);

How to check if button from user control was clicked?

It seems like a straight forward thing, but I can't figure it out.
How can I check if a certain button was clicked from user control?
my user control is uc_test and button name is btnTest .
I assume its some sort of event handler added to uc_test.btnTest ?
I'm working in WinForms.
It sounds like you've created a button but want to make it do something on click. I don't often use Winforms but from memory double-clicking on the control in the form should automatically create a btnTest_Click method. If not, just go to code and put in a method like:
protected void btnTest_Click(object sender, Eventargs e)
{
//do something
}
Then set in the properties of the button the OnClick event to btnTest_Click.

Fire event on textbox lose focus

I'm trying to call a method as soon as a TextBox on my screen gets 'un-focused' if that makes any sense? The user types in a username and as soon as that textbox loses focus I want to fire an event that checks if that username is indeed available.
Thanks!
There is a Control.Leave in C#, which I think is perfect for your purpose.
you can go to events of the textbox in visual studio, and find the Leave event.
The code generated will be like :
private void txtbox_Leave(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
//Check for available operation Code
}
Please explore the LostFocus event in a textbox. Hope it helps
select your object and to choose the panel of the properties and click on event.To unroll until LEAVE and double-click above.that will give you:
private void object_Leave( object sender, EventArgs e)
{
////put your code here
}
In WPF Try this:
TextBox.LostFocus
This will work:
Go to the "properties" of your textbox. You will see a yellow lightning bolt in the first line tab. There you will find all possible events that can be triggered. Search for "Leave" entry, double-click it. There you can put whatever you want.

C# How to make webbrowser clickable

I was wonder how can I fire an event when the user double click on my webbrowser component. Since it has no such event how it could be possible...
Thanks in advance
Sounds like a WPF matter :-)
There you would go with an Behaviour attached to the browser. See this link for more information about this approach if you can alter your application (dependends on what you have done yet).
If you can't apply this solution, just bind a event handler to the click event and count click per time with respect to the mouse movement since the last click and if both conditions are true (two clicks in 0.2 secs, mouse hasn't moved more than 2px, for example) execute your double click code. The events you should use are previewMOUSEdown or MOUSEdown, not KEYdown.
// Call this where you want to create the event (let's say on the form load for example).
webBrowser1.DoubleClick += new EventHandler(webBrowser1_DoubleClick);
// This happens when the event is fired (so when you double click on the webbrowser control).
void webBrowser1_DoubleClick(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
// Code
}
Try this.
I don't know why you can't set this event via the designer :(, but this should work.
