I am building a plugin configuration application and I am looking for simple sample plugins approach in order to have clear idea where and how to go.
I have go through MEF description a bit but I think it is a bit to heavy to what I am intend to do.
Any one have play around such approach and samples ?

MEF makes plugins very easy to implement. It has more features, but you don't have to use them. I recommend using it - it is not such a heavy library.
It is almost as simple as decorating the types with an attribute and you are ready to go.

I am hoping that these link will helps you for plugin model using csharp...

I've built a robust system that has many core functions that might actually get mess to use if I keep on expanding the code - therefore I decided to implement a scripting language and ability for program to read scripts from external files.
My first idea was to use C# by default, but then I've remembered how easy and readable Lua was, so I went with that - sadly, I can't find a simple yet effective library that would allow me to incorporate lua into my software.
tl;dr — is there a simple library one could use to implement lua and thus make usage of software built-in functions way easier? What are your thoughts and opinions on that?
First, there's MoonSharp.
I did experiments with it a while ago. Ultimately, I found it unsuitable for my needs, but it was straightforward to make use of.
Edit: dug up my GitHub repo where I tried this out.

Due to the nature of the keywords, I find it difficult to easily google this. I want to implement a "help" item on the menu bar that will launch some basic documentation for the user to read, after I have written it. Are there any standards or libraries I should be aware about before diving into this aspect? The program incorporating the "help" functionality will be a C# WPF Desktop application.
Example from MS Word :
I'm sure they don't reinvent the wheel every time they use the help function, and I don't want to either. Where can I look to find something open source that is similar to this functionality and maybe some general guidelines on how to write help for non-technical and technical users?

Is there any sort of LinqToBigTable library out there or anything that makes it link up with C#? I am looking to integrate with App Engine BigTable.
There is no direct way to interact with the AppEngine datastore from outside of an AppEngine application. Can't be done.
Your best bet for making something like this work is to expose your AppEngine datastore through a RESTful interface that talks JSON. Then, you can use Linq-to-JSON to work with the data in the fashion you desire.
The only supported languages for the Google App Engine are Python and Java (plus Go, experimentally). See here. As neither is a .net language you can't use Linq with the Google App Engine.
There is a C# client library for Cloud Bigtable, but there is not one for App Engine.

I'm busy with an application that needs to display Treemaps to a user but I can't find a good charting library that has support for this kind of graph.
Here are some examples of what I mean
I'm using C# as a server side technology, but I'm willing to invoke something on a command-line too if that is required.
Any suggestions?
Edit: I don't mind getting a java library recommendation, since I don't mind combining technologies
Well, since you question is tagged with "Java" I'm gonna propose JFreeChart (even though your actual question seems to indicate you need more of a C#/.net kind of library)

Any good Gtk libraries out there? I know of Holly Gtk Widgets, any other good ones out there?
Are there any good ones for menubar or toolbar ? Thanks!
There's also Medsphere Widgets, with a good graph widget, among other things.
MonoDevelop has a docking library and text/source editor widget that have no dependencies on the rest of MD.
In addition, MonoDevelop and Banshee both have some good widgets that would be relatively easy to extract.
How about GTK+ OpenGL extension for plugging OpenGL graphics into your application?
The VMWare team have a few simple but nice widgets in their open source pool.
Edit: Sorry saw you tagged it with C#. This widgets are written in C
