i have learned MVC Architecture from Zend Framework, and i just started learning in ASP.NET MVC. I want to know how do i create 'modules' in ASP.NET like in Zend Framework? For example we can create Modules in Zend Framework as follows
Storeworld
-->bootstrap
-->config
-->layouts
-->modules
---->stores (Name of the Module)
------>controllers
------>forms
------>models
------>views
---->admin (Name of the Module)
------>controllers
------>forms
------>models
------>views
-->public
How can i achieve this in ASP.NET MVC 3 / 2. Please guide me.
Thanks
I believe the concept that you're looking for in ASP.NET MVC is Areas. It was introduced in ASP.NET MVC 2.
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee671793.aspx
That link should get you started at least, but there are a lot of resources out there that should help you learn it.
I think what you are looking for is ASP.NET MVC Areas. See here and here for more reference.

I am trying to create a conceptual diagram after researching for a while, it seems like you need to use minimal API if you want to mesh it with a React frontend. Is it possible to do this with the MVC architectural pattern?
I have read the docs and watched numerous tutorials but could not find the answer.
Is there a reason you want an "MVC architectural pattern"? I think the way to do this is with a ASP API backend. If you are not familiar with an ASP API it has the feel of a MVC app and might be what you're looking for?
Take a look at this link:
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/aspnet/core/client-side/spa/react?view=aspnetcore-6.0&tabs=visual-studio
This link shows you how to easily get a template solution setup with a React SPA and a ASP.NET Core API project as the backend.
I am trying to make ASP.NET core project with AngularJS(v1.6.7) to work together, with a possibility to unplug/change the AngularJS part, if I need to migrate to Angular(v2). But the problem is that there aren't any tutorials using AngularJS(v1.6), how to do that? I am not sure if I need to specify any code or structure here, because it is pretty much one controller for ASP.NET Core and in the wwwroot folder consists of app/../Controllers & Views. Do I need to change/add something to Program, Startup classes or change something for Angular part? At the moment I am having problems with routing.
The only thing what I have is this AngularJS Generator - https://github.com/yeoman/generator-angular , what can be used to generate the basic template for the project.
The setup of Angular 1.x is the same and works fine regardless if you're using ASP.NET Core or for instance ASP.NET MVC for the back-end.
I wrote a comprehensive tutorial years ago explaining how to setup Angular 1.x for an ASP.NET MVC back-end, I think you can pretty much follow it, save for some small tweaks to the back-end:
https://sirarsalih.com/2013/10/31/embedding-angularjs-in-asp-net-mvc/
There is also in the article the added bonus of showing how to write unit tests for your front-end.
Good luck!
Just happened to hear about the latest in .NET Stack which combines both the functionality of ASP.NET Webapi and Mvc ?
The main functionality is to provide a simple and single routing architecture and everything. But didn't get the name of the tech outlined in TechEd. Googled to find none.
Any ideas ?
ASP.NET vNEXT you can read all about it right here:

I'm looking for a 'model' website/application written in ASP.Net that illustrates current best-practices of architecture, design, code etc. that could be used as a blueprint for development?
I'm working in ASP.Net webforms, but would like to get into MVC so examples from both would be very welcome.
Thanks.
Nerd Dinner might be worth a look for MVC, it comes with a 185 page pdf walkthough of the code with screenshots. I think it was built as an example for the book ASP.NET MVC 1.0.
There's a bit more info on Scott Guthrie's blog
You can have a web site that uses ASP.NET MVC and ASp.NET Webforms at the same time. Google it and you'll find dozens of samples. But if you weant to see an example of how to implement MVC Pattern* in ASp.NET Webforms projects, take a look at: http://www.codeproject.com/KB/aspnet/mvcwebforms.aspx
It is very hard to find full blown best open source asp.net MVC sites. Here's the ones that go beyond beginner concepts.
Code Camp Server
Kona
Orchard
Kobe... where are you?
Are there any tutorials like Nerd Dinner but for MVC 2.0? I've seen MVC Music Store but I'd prefer something that moves a little more swiftly.
If not, are there any reccomendations for more advanced tutorials that go over specific topics?
Side note: I really liked the style of the NetTuts CodeIgniter Series. Something like that but for ASP.NET MVC 2.0 would be great.
Here is a complete and quite advanced (technically) website develop with asp.net mvc 2.0: Who Can Help Me? To find out more about it I suggest you read blogs of the authors.
NerdDinner has also been updated for ASP.NET MVC 2 and runs on ASP.NET 4 and Visual Studio 2010 in the updated version of the book.
The updated source code is available on CodePlex: http://nerddinner.codeplex.com/
The updated book is available at... stores :)
