I want to make a web application , this web application will be a (schedule system) contains all time tables for(a university)(entering events,showing the events at those times,change events .... and other actions).
first :please ,i ask about free good schedule controls for this task.(i want many of them to select the convenient for me).
second : i need help, recommendation,what is supposed to do to begin this task, and if there is any similar web applications for this.
feel free to explain the ideas.

Take a look at FullCalendar (http://arshaw.com/fullcalendar/). It's a jQuery calendar with month, week and day views and support easy mouse editing of events.
It's not a server control, but it shouldn't be too hard to integrate into asp.net website.
I haven't seen any good server controls that are free. Telerik and DevExpress do have quite nice Scheduler components, but cost something.

I just inherited a C# windows application codebase. It's a relatively large application with lots and lots of UI "elements" that I believe may have been added by the previous developer with little to no interaction with the actual clients. This application is a robotics control system, it runs at a manufacturing facility, and it has some of the most complex UIs I have ever seen (forms inside of forms inside of tabbed elements inside of etc...)
One of the first things I want to do, is learn about how the actual plant floor associates interact with this application. I have already sent out a survey to the different supervisors, but I would like some empirical data as well.
What I would like to do:
I would like to somehow, capture every time a user presses a button, control, etc... and record it to a file. Something simple like:
timestamp,name of control,any other cool data I can capture (program run state, for example.)
The difficulty is that I'm not really a C# expert at this point, and I can't figure out the appropriate way to add some sort of global behavior to my application which does this, and doesn't impact existing functionality. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Global keyboard and mouse hooks would be the way to go. Unless someone knows the design thoroughly and can comment how to extend existing functionality. it is going to be bit difficult.
I want to be able to use the .NET WebBrowserControl to record and repeat user actions to automate the collection and retrieval of text from web pages for a data extraction tool that I'm building, but am unsure about how to best approach this.
I specifically want to use the .NET WebBrowserControl as it can be embedded in a .NET form and also used within a server side process without a UI. I'm aware that there are other means of recording and repeating user actions such as Selenium, but for now I am interested in a solution around the web browser control (just to keep answers focused).
Actions to be recorded are those such as button clicks, drop down list selection, link clicks etc.
Potential solutions I have looked at so far:

iMacro (doesn't appear to have a component that can be used within a project, to record user actions, rather the GUI has to be used).
WaitN - Good for programmatic play back - but no recording facility that can be hooked up to the web browser control?
I'm presuming this is possible as services like Mozenda appear to make use of the WebBrowserControl, or some IE like version based on mshtml.dll.
Are there any other options I can look at?

yap, as in Mozenda ,when user create any action like goto mainpage>click on images>download image etc... the XPath is recorded with the each page url into XML file. So, use self learning algorithm to implement such kind of XML better way than mozenda.
i have developed one application using JSOUP and Regular Expression Parsing works same as mozenda do. i created the configuration file which contains the XPath of all the items you want . Which works great for me.

I need to design a calendar control which should be added to our companie's application (I know there's already quite a lot calendar controls but I shall develop our own one...).
How should I start, should I use a kind of table to display the days or should I completely draw my own grid? How can I do this (I do not need rdy-to-use code, I just need some ideas...)
The application is written in C# as a WindowsForms application (thanks for the hint, forgot to mention this in first case...)

makes me suggest to use ready project http://www.codeproject.com/KB/selection/MonthCalendar.aspx and modify it if necessary. I use it in my own little project and it works like a charm. It provides full source if necessary so you can integrate it easily and modify if you think it's not fit enough.
In the end if you end up not using it, you can peak at the sources and functionality it implements and do it your own way.
To me redoing it from scratch is a bit pointless especially with such a good / free one.
If you are developing a web application then I would seriously look at using jquery. A good calendar control should be done client side so I would be looking at some form of java script solution. If you look at jquery-calendar.js as a good example you will see the complexity involved in developing your own control.
I know I can use System.DirectoryServices to roll my own GAL Name/email selector control and I've seen plenty of people explaining the basics of how to do that, but surly someone knows of one that I can download from somewhere. It just seems like a waste to have to remake it when so many people need it.
Something remotely similar to Outlooks GAL Select Names dialog. It could be simpler.
I ended up having to write my own. Its only a User Control which makes it a PITA to reuse since it can't be compiled to just a DLL and inserted into the tool box. I'm going to continue refining it and start working on making a Custom Server control out of it so it is easily reusable. Once I get it as a server control I'll see about sharing it.
I am using silverlight 2.0 with C# for my application.
Few of the pages are quite long and contain quite a few of textboxes. The question I have is:
I use 'tab' to move between the textboxes on the page. When I tab into a TB that is not shown on the page - how can I make it so that the pages autoscroll to display which field I am on the page?
Right now I have to manually scroll the page. I have tried couple of things and would like to know if there is an easier more efficient way to accomplish this.

Here is a behavior that looks good for the "scroll into view" issue. I haven't tried it myself though, so I cannot vouch for the quality (and I don't know if it works in Silverlight 2):

And I very much recommend migrating to Silverlight 3 (and later this year, 4) if you are planning on doing more work on the application. It is hard to say how difficult it will be for you, especially since you are new to Silverlight. That depends on the nature of your application. I can only say that when we migrated from 2 to 3 it was not that difficult, and we have a big application with a lot of strange hacks. I was expecting a world of pain, but it was done in a couple of days. Oh, and you can get the Telerik components for version 3 as well.
I would suggest that you try compiling the app in Silverlight 3 with the upgraded Telerik components and see how many build errors you get. Then you will probably have a pretty clear indication of whether it's worth it or not.
