I've created a software that I want to be able to market. I'd like to be able to post it on forums etc and for that I need a home page.
Is there any open source C# project home pages that you can use?
The functionality I'm looking for is like adding new versions (perhaps a version control from the software), downloading and user guides. So what I want is pretty basic: I want to be able to upload and let the users download.
I've written this on my own as well but I guess that if there are open source projects that have done this they're probably better.
This can't be such a rare problem so please lead me to some resources so that I can create my page and publish my software! :)
Google Code, Launchpad, SourceForge, Savannah, and CodePlex (among others) provide this service.

I am using ExcelDna and C# to build a suite of tools. Part of that will be forms from which I'd want to user to select cells/ranges from the workbook.
I've got the Application.InputBox route working...but it just doesn't look as cool...
I haven't read many good things about Excel's RefEdit control, and see what many have in the past written workarounds, often in (shudder) VBA or VB.Net.
However, none of these seem to be recent... What is the best approach/control for RefEdit functionality on a form run via ExcelDna (if applicable)?
The RefEdit sample project of GitHub explores different ways of dealing with the threading when showing a form from an Excel add-in, which is the main issue with making a RefEdit control for your .NET add-in.
Check this page for links to various other implementations: https://github.com/Excel-DNA/ExcelDna/wiki/Links-about-RefEdit

Due to the nature of the keywords, I find it difficult to easily google this. I want to implement a "help" item on the menu bar that will launch some basic documentation for the user to read, after I have written it. Are there any standards or libraries I should be aware about before diving into this aspect? The program incorporating the "help" functionality will be a C# WPF Desktop application.
Example from MS Word :
I'm sure they don't reinvent the wheel every time they use the help function, and I don't want to either. Where can I look to find something open source that is similar to this functionality and maybe some general guidelines on how to write help for non-technical and technical users?
I think that following links should be useful for you.

I am looking forward to build a web Based RDP client for one of my projects. Unfortunately, I could find only one Open Source project for this i.e. Guacamole.
I tried to go through the documentation, but It was written in some alien language. I am a C#/ASP.net/jQuery developer and the documentation is pretty confusing to me.
I did not find any install package for Windows in the documentation, neither I found any compiling methods for windows.
Is there any alternative to Guacamole for windows ? I'd prefer C# based back end over HTML5.
If not, please tell me about windows documentation of Guacamole.
Any help would be highly apppreciated..!!
Thank you..!

I have an application which could easily be controlled by a bot over network or even on the local machine(which simuates keyboard and mouse e.g.).
I want to avoid this using a captcha. The source has to work without internet / has to be generated during runtime on the computer itself.
Is there any open-source project for this or can someone give me a code example or a link ?
I've found an article "Simple CAPTCHA, Create your own in C#" by Raymund Macaalay. It is for an ASP.NET app, but he generates a normal C# bitmap image using different random fonts in STEP2, so this should also work in your WinForms app.

I'm looking for a free asp.net system or component which allow my users to make feature requests and vote for existing ones.
It's for internal use (a non profit organization - with "old" users ;)). Users shouldn't need to log in to be able to suggest a feature or vote.
The StackOverflow has a really great - and SIMPLE - UI. Would love something similar...
Do you know if a such system or component exists ? I haven't found any yet...
Thanks !
Whilst not exactly components, you can integrate one of the following user feedback services into your site:
GetSatisfaction (free - look for "Start a free community" on plan page)
UserVoice (free)
They both allow collection of user feedback and voting.
Take a look at the ASP.NET ToggleButton control. That would cover the up and down arrows (with the proper up and down, selected/deselected images). You would just need to wire it up to save the counts for up and down selections and display the total number in between.
