sql exception "physical connection is not usable" on a specific column in specific table

I have a winforms desktop app. It works on the server computer, where the db is, but on another computer, with win 8.1, it throws the error only when selecting 2 specific columns from 2 tables. First column is image type, the other is nchar(250) type. I'm using EF6, but even if I write raw sql, I get the same exception. The exception does not occur on client machines running win 10.

As I said every code, that selects the mentioned columns from the db triggers it. Eg:

Selecting other columns does not raise errors. Eg:

C# SqlException (0x80131904): Distributed transaction completed. Either enlist this session in a new transaction or the NULL transaction

Stackers, I am getting an exception Distributed transaction completed. Either enlist this session in a new transaction or the NULL transaction on the production server for my web application (Asp.Net Web Form with Telerik Controls + C# + SQL Database).
I have added the stack trace of the exception in the last.
The strange thing is the application is not using transactions for some of the processes where this exception occurred. And we have not implemented any kind of distributed system concepts.
Here is some information about the server where applications are hosted-
More than one instance of the same application are hosted on the same server. Means we have different clients and the same web application is hosted for each client on different public domain URLs.
Web Applications and their dedicated SQL database are on the same server.
All hosted web applications are using the same SQL user id to connect to their database.
Each application uses its own dedicated App Pool in the IIS.
Can anyone help in this to figure out why I am getting this exception?

SqlException Timeout expired into Dot net core 2.2

My website build with 4.1 nopcommerce platform. now I have update all the dll of this website to the latest. now it working fine in normal days but in some of time I get an error log regarding "SqlException: Timeout expired". now how to resolve this issue. I have reviewed many posts and many think changes i have made to resolve this issue but I can't find any solution.

SqlException: Timeout expired
This error is very common in SQL Server, and when I take a look on your trace, seems you want to read data. If you want to fix this error, my answer is it can't be FIXED PERMANENTLY. Because? This exception depends on many factors such as Network (in case you deploy application and database in different servers), Workload when error occurs, how large data you read, etc.
In case you thought an old version is working better, so that a new version get a problem in handling Database Connection. I read that you use nopcommerce platform, that means it needs to be fixed somewhere in nopcommerce.
Then a good solution is tuning 1. Your query 2. Your database server, or if you aren't good in Database side, I suggest you apply Retry Pattern or breaking smaller data which you want to read.

This is a very common error.
Any deadlock issues on executed queries ?
Have you reached the number of opened connections which is usually limited to 300 - 600 ?
The database may return this error if the limit has been exceeded.

Entity Framework ExecuteStoreCommands Exception during FirstOrDefault method

Occasionally, while debugging some older application code, we receive an exception.

Sql Connections connection have a CommandTimeout property, which by default is 30 seconds. If your query doesn't complete within this time the exception above is thrown. You can increase this value in your connection string if you know that you have a long running query that might exceed this limit. Ideally, you can fix this problem by to determining whether it is your query or another query that is causing the problem. If it is your query, optimizing the data with a maintenance plan and/or creating indexes can speed up the query.

I've gone through forums no solution found.

Manually deleting tables in code first causes EF to lose track of your model changes.
You can reset code first migrations by deleting migration history table and re-enable migration.

This is mostly because your database Migration table ("__MigrationHistory") is not sync with your Migration
you can change your Database Name in default connection string and create new database.
after create new database compare it with existing Database menualy and sync "__MigrationHistory" from new database to existing for later Migrate
