My C# application does a lot of ClientHttp calls on many Task/Async/Await methods inside Paraller.ForEach block, but it performance is not perfect (application seems to slow down in time). How to investigate where are issues. What tools should be used? How to use these tools like Profiler?
External links are welcome.
How my application works:
It downloads images and zipped images from backend, unzip them if needed and saves them in directories on local hard drive. It downlaods about 7GB of images.

I have an application which could easily be controlled by a bot over network or even on the local machine(which simuates keyboard and mouse e.g.).
I want to avoid this using a captcha. The source has to work without internet / has to be generated during runtime on the computer itself.
Is there any open-source project for this or can someone give me a code example or a link ?
I've found an article "Simple CAPTCHA, Create your own in C#" by Raymund Macaalay. It is for an ASP.NET app, but he generates a normal C# bitmap image using different random fonts in STEP2, so this should also work in your WinForms app.

Please have look at the attached image i have created. I have done this diagram on my own by the information got from the internet. The diagram tells out stucture of multithreaded desktop application in C# .NET. if any one can suggest any changes that would be really gratful. I have to give a presentation on this topic tommorow :) also if you know any related documets about this topic with some diagramatic representation, that would be really helpful for me.
Looking forward to get some reply soon.
Looks good to me, but because the workerthread appears isolated, It looks quite circular.

I am looking for a .net C# library that can do translations. I tried googles one but they charge money now for it.
I am looking for something that can preferably auto detect languages, translate blocks of text or download the entire page and convert it.
This all has to of course be done through code.
Thanks
Have you tried using bing?

There is a translator .net library on codeplex that uses bing: http://translateit.codeplex.com/

I'm busy with an application that needs to display Treemaps to a user but I can't find a good charting library that has support for this kind of graph.
Here are some examples of what I mean
I'm using C# as a server side technology, but I'm willing to invoke something on a command-line too if that is required.
Any suggestions?
Edit: I don't mind getting a java library recommendation, since I don't mind combining technologies
Well, since you question is tagged with "Java" I'm gonna propose JFreeChart (even though your actual question seems to indicate you need more of a C#/.net kind of library)

I've created a software that I want to be able to market. I'd like to be able to post it on forums etc and for that I need a home page.
Is there any open source C# project home pages that you can use?
The functionality I'm looking for is like adding new versions (perhaps a version control from the software), downloading and user guides. So what I want is pretty basic: I want to be able to upload and let the users download.
I've written this on my own as well but I guess that if there are open source projects that have done this they're probably better.
This can't be such a rare problem so please lead me to some resources so that I can create my page and publish my software! :)
Google Code, Launchpad, SourceForge, Savannah, and CodePlex (among others) provide this service.
