Windows Azure project not working - c#

I am using Visual Studio 2012 using C#.
I am getting error while opening the project at my PC, this project is working fine on another system.
Very frequently I am also getting this error too.

how many instances are you trying to run? small hint here, try to run the emulator before you run the solution, it helps sometimes. Second try it with the express emulator feature (new since sdk 2.1)

Problem with AzureStorageEmulator.exe Azure SDK and Visual Studio related

Premise: I'm a frontend web developer and I had to launch a project written in C# that has many dependencies. I tried to set the enviroment but I had many issues, this is one that neither I, nor the people around me, can resolve (at least we couldn't until now).
When I try to run the solution it always throws an error and open a popup where it writes something like "it is not possible run Azure storage emulator. Run AzureStorageEmulator.exe as administrator and try again". I tried to run the command but it tells me that it is not installed. I unistalled and installed again the Azure SDK, still the error, I installed the storage emulator from here https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/storage/common/storage-use-emulator#using-sdk but nothing.
What can I do?
I'm using Visual Studio 2019, .net core 2.2 and Azure SDK
Sorry for my funny English, I'm not native.

Windows Form app won't run at startup but will run manually

I'm attempting to run an app on startup on a Dell laptop running Windows 10 Enterprise. It is written in C# using Visual Studio. The app is meant to run with administrator privileges. If I manually start the app, it works just fine. When I attempt to run it automatically using local group policy editor, it gives me the following error on login: "This application could not be started."
I looked up that error and wound up at the following link: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2715633/shim-errors-for-the-net-framework-version-and-platform-support. It said: "The app is not configured in a way that makes it possible to determine the appropriate version of the .NET Framework runtime. The corresponding shim code is SHIM_NOVERSION_FOUND."
I used information found here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/framework/migration-guide/how-to-determine-which-versions-are-installed to determine which .NET frameworks were installed on the target device. There were a few, including version 4.0.
I added a config file to my project using instructions from the following link: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/framework/migration-guide/how-to-configure-an-app-to-support-net-framework-4-or-4-5.
When I rebuild the project and try to run it on the target machine, I get the same error as before.
NOTE: The target computer is under a group policy which may or may not be affecting the app. We don't know.
My ultimate solution for this problem was to build an installer for the program instead of just copying the release version over to the laptops manually

Error when adding a Service Reference for a Web Service

I am in a .NET programming class and am creating a simple web service and a console tester to work with it. I am using C#, the IBM .Net data provider (have also tried it with the OLE DB data provider) - both data providers can successfully access and retrieve/update data from the server, and the .NET Framework 3.5.
The web service works, the console tester works (in it's current state), but when I try to add the service reference to link the two together I am getting the following error:
Method not found: '?'.
Metadata contains a reference that cannot be resolved: 'httppp://localhost:64302/WebServiceV2/Service.asmx'.
Metadata contains a reference that cannot be resolved: 'httppp://localhost:64302/WebServiceV2/Service.asmx'.
If the service is defined in the current solution, try building the solution and adding the service reference again.
VS 2010 is able to discover the reference, but when I try to expand the webservice.asmx file or if I press OK, I get this error.
I am running VS 2010 Pro SP1 on a Windows 7 machine (64 bit), on a PC that I use for work.
I have tried to "repair" VS 2010 and I have uninstalled/re-installed it but cannot get around this error. As mentioned I have installed SP1. Also I have installed the "CU3" update, which from what I can tell is a "cumulative" update for VS 2010.
I have discussed this error with my class instructor, fellow co-workers, and the CTO of my company. None of these people have experienced this nor can they duplicate this error with VS 2010 and are at a loss to explain it. This leads me to believe that VS 2010 is okay but there might be something else on my PC that is causing this error - or perhaps I might be missing a key update of some sort. My next approach will be to install this on my home PC (Windows 7 as well) to see if I get different results.

Interactive Brokers API issue with adding the ActiveX Control

Every time I try to add the Interactive Brokers API control on my computer it gives me an error that sais....
The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log or use the command-line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x800736B1)
I have been looking for an answer and trying different things for a week now and I can not seem to figure it out. I tried it on my laptop and it worked. I thought it was my windows or my visual studio so i re-installed everything on my PC. I'm not running a Windows 7 Professional x64 with Visual Studio 2013 with the newest update. At this point I have no idea what to try to make it work. Does anybody know what is this error.
Sorry-very late for an answer to this but in case someone else comes across it. There are a number of reasons why Visual Studio might not be able to add the control to your application. For 64-bit windows, one of the main issues is that the ActiveX control (tws.ocx) is not registered properly when the API is installed. I have a web page dedicated to installing IB API on Windows and I list out many of the issues that can happen when working with the ActiveX control on 64-bit windows: http://holowczak.com/ib-install/
I just posted a very simple tutorial on my website that starts at the very beginning and walks you through getting the API to work with interactive brokers using Visual Studio and C# : Get Real-Time Stock data from Interactive Brokers API
If that doesn't help I would consider:
Turn off Windows Firewall and give it a try.
Ensure you have Traders Workstation setup to allow incomming connections for ActiveX/.NET.
Ensure Traders Workstation works on your machine. Try downloading it from IB and launching it. If it works, then the problem is on the .NET or connection from .NET to TWS which is Java.
Also when you say "Interactive Brokers Control" do you mean the API package that you can download? If so to build it into your program all you need is the .DLL file as shown in the tutorial link I posted above.

xamarin studio for ios on windows?

Yesterday at the xamarin webinar I asked if it was possible to install xamarin studio for IOS development on a windows machine and was given the answer that it was possible but developers usually went for visual studio. Today I've tried to find info about how to do this but can only find posts that it can only be done via Visual Studio. Most of the posts are a couple of months old though so which is the correct answer?
Unfortunately, I think your fears are true. Another post talks a little about this:
How to develop iOS app using Xamarin Studio on Windows?
The official Xamarin documentation also says pretty clearly that you need Visual Studio to do iOS development in Windows. On top of that, you also need a Mac on the network to compile the iOS project.
Using Mac build Host you can do but you'll need the networked mac
for developing and debugging too.
or else you can use Xamarin Live Player using which you can
debug, develop and deploy the app completely in windows without the
help of any Apple system but to sign and release the app to appstore
you will need Apple System though
You can access Xamarin Studio from a Windows machine by accessing a remote Mac from services such as MacinCloud.com. Although you are not running Xamarin Studio directly on your Windows machine, the ability to access a Mac server for development allows you to run Xamarin Studio, and other Mac-only tools easily.
